On July 9th a group of NCalCCIM members met at the TESLA factory delivery center to sign in and take a tour of the TESLA factory in Fremont, CA. The facility contains 5.3 million square feet of manufacturing and office space. We boarded a vehicle resembling a train and were able to see the factory in action. It was quite an amazing site watching parts being manufactured, robots welding, and seeing the end result on the final production line. There are over 1,000 robots in the facility. After the tour we were able to test dive cars. If you are in a hurry their most powerful car, the Model S, will go 0-60 MPH in 2.8 seconds! A good time was had by all.
